Shalini Pandey Joins the Feast: First Look as Meera in Dhanush’s Idli Kadai Unveiled!

Sporting a breezy, traditional look, Shalini brings a quiet charm to the character of Meera, whose role is being kept tightly under wraps. What we do know: she’s stepping into a story that blends Tamil culture, action, and drama, all set against a backdrop that swings between Chennai’s bustling chaos and the serenity of Thailand.

 

Set to release in theatres worldwide on October 1, 2025, Idli Kadai marks Dhanush’s return to the director’s chair, and this time, he’s pulling triple duty — writing, directing, and co-producing the film under his banner Wunderbar Films, alongside Dawn Pictures.

 

The film boasts an ensemble cast that screams power: Dhanush, Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, R. Parthiban, P. Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran — now joined by Shalini Pandey, whose last few performances have proven she’s more than just a pretty face (Arjun Reddy fans, assemble).
