Vidyut Jammwal Joins Hollywood's "Street Fighter" Reboot

Bollywood’s action sensation Vidyut Jammwal is officially kicking his way into Hollywood! On Monday morning, Vidyut thrilled fans by sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the set of his Hollywood debut, the upcoming action-packed reboot “Street Fighter.” The pics, taken on a yacht in sunny Sydney, Australia, show Vidyut hanging out with none other than rap legend 50 Cent and WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, teasing what’s shaping up to be one of the most adrenaline-fueled casts in recent memory.

“In the company of warriors, I find my tribe. #streetfighter,” Vidyut captioned his post, striking a confident pose alongside fellow stars of muscle and mayhem. Fans instantly flooded the comments with excitement, eager to see their favorite action hero go global.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) and written by Dalan Musson (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), "Street Fighter" is the third live-action adaptation of the legendary Capcom video game franchise. The film serves as a fresh reboot, bringing iconic characters back to the big screen in high-octane fashion. Vidyut will be portraying Dhalsim, the mystical, stretchy-limbed monk known for his fire-breathing powers and meditative wisdom — a perfect match for Jammwal’s martial arts mastery and screen intensity.

And the rest of the cast? It’s stacked. David Dastmalchian will go dark as the villainous M. Bison, while Orville Peck brings his masked mystique to Vega. Callina Liang steps into the shoes of Chun-Li, and comedian Andrew Schulz will flex some fighting flair as Dan Hibiki. The star-studded ensemble also includes Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Roman Reigns, Hirooki Goto, and more.

While plot details are still being kept under lock and key, the vibe on set already screams epic. With a blend of martial arts mayhem, global talent, and nostalgic characters, “Street Fighter” is poised to be a blockbuster punch to remember. And with Vidyut Jammwal on the roster? Expect kicks, flips, and fiery fists that will redefine the action game — literally.
