From Festivals to Film Halls: Manoj Bajpayee’s Jugnuma Gets A Release Date

After lighting up the international festival circuit with critical acclaim, Jugnuma — English title The Fable — is ready to enchant Indian audiences. Slated for a September 12, 2025 theatrical release across India, the film brings together a powerhouse ensemble of artists on and off-screen. And now, with Academy Award winner Guneet Monga Kapoor and indie maverick Anurag Kashyap stepping in as executive producers, Jugnuma has officially become one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

 

Set in the late 1980s, Jugnuma stars the ever-brilliant Manoj Bajpayee in a story that blends memory, myth, and mystery. The film also features Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose, and Tillotama Shome, a trio known for their emotionally rich performances.
