G2 Unleashed: India’s Biggest Spy Thriller Goes Global with Adivi Sesh And Emraan Hashmi

Get ready for a cinematic explosion of espionage, adrenaline, and globe-trotting adventure—G2, the sequel to the 2018 cult hit Goodachari, is officially arriving in theatres on May 1, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest Indian action spy thriller yet.

 

Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi in his directorial debut and produced by People Media Factory, AK Entertainments, and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, the film stars Adivi Sesh, returning as the ever-elusive Agent Gopi, also known as Gopi 116. Joining him are Wamiqa Gabbi, Emraan Hashmi, Madhu Shalini, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Prakash Raj, forming a stellar pan-India cast that merges both South and Hindi cinema powerhouses.

 

Shot over 150 days across 6 countries and 23 elaborate sets, G2 isn’t just a follow-up—it’s an upgrade. With a production budget crossing ₹100 crore, the film promises to push the boundaries of scale and storytelling. Expect slick visuals, high-octane chases, and a plot laced with danger, secrets, and global stakes.

 

The story picks up where Goodachari left off, with Agent Gopi now on an overseas mission to dismantle an underground network that poses a grave threat to the country. His path collides with a mysterious villain played by Emraan Hashmi, whose dual role as Michael and Prince Vithal adds layers of complexity and suspense. Meanwhile, Wamiqa Gabbi plays Mahalakshmi Naagin, a character veiled in mystique and intrigue.

 

With music by Sricharan Pakala, cinematography by Azharuddin, and editing by Kalyan Kodati, the technical team adds further punch to this mega production. Written by Abburi Ravi and Mayank Tiwari, G2 promises a narrative that's gripping, emotional, and laced with high-voltage action. Releasing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, G2 is geared for a massive nationwide rollout.
