Sony Pictures Classics Unveils Teaser for Nuremberg, a Gripping WWII Courtroom Drama

Sony Pictures Classics has dropped the much-anticipated teaser trailer for Nuremberg, a powerful historical drama set against the backdrop of the infamous Nuremberg Trials of 1945–1946. Written and directed by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Post), the film is adapted from Jack El-Hai’s acclaimed nonfiction book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist. The film is scheduled to release on November 7, 2025.

 

Nuremberg boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon, Leo Woodall, Richard E. Grant, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, and Wrenn Schmidt. The story follows two riveting threads: the historic Allied prosecution of top Nazi officials and a tense psychological standoff between former Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring (played by Crowe) and U.S. Army psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (played by Malek).

 

Michael Shannon stars as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the unrelenting chief prosecutor determined to hold the Nazi regime accountable for the horrors of the Holocaust. Meanwhile, Malek’s character, caught in a moral and psychological struggle, attempts to understand the minds of those behind one of history's darkest atrocities.
