Written and directed by Kapur, Warlord follows the journey of an interdimensional warrior who survives only through the intervention of his lover—who exists in another dimension. The twist? She can only pull him into her world when he is on the brink of death. “If the sword hits him and he's so close to death, she shifts him to a different dimension, and you might just see the sword going through him, but he's not there,” Kapur explains, teasing a mind-bending narrative grounded in quantum-level phenomena and romantic devotion.
At the heart of the story are powerful crystals—fundamental particles even more elusive than neutrinos—that form the backbone of the galaxy’s energy and are said to “create the universe,” but exist only for a fleeting instant: a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a second. These mystical elements serve as the series’ central force, with warriors defending them to maintain balance across dimensions.
The project is a collaboration with Studio Blo, a generative AI company established in 2024 in Mumbai, with international footprints in Dubai, London, and Los Angeles. With this partnership, Warlord becomes one of the first major Indian-led IPs to be built entirely through AI technologies, from design to execution. Kapur's involvement not only marks a reinvention of his own storytelling approach but signals a possible evolution for the film industry as a whole.
Beyond the screen, the Warlord universe is poised to expand into films, immersive games, and even education. Kapur has revealed plans to launch an AI-focused film school in Mumbai's Dharavi, aiming to democratize access to future-ready filmmaking tools and empower new generations of creators.
