Taking inspiration from historical uprisings and literary classics like Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s Anandamath, the film explores the story of a rebel “chosen by destiny,” as Shetty cryptically captioned the teaser. “Not all Rebels are forged in Battle. Some are chosen by Destiny. And this is that story of a Rebel,” he wrote, inviting fans to join him on this new journey.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments, Vamsi84, Sai Soujanya, and Fortune Cinemas, the film showcases Shetty’s ambition to expand beyond Kannada cinema, following his blockbuster Kantara which earned over ₹400 crore worldwide and bagged multiple National Film Awards.
Meanwhile, Shetty continues to keep fans excited with Kantara: Chapter 1, a mythological action drama prequel exploring the origins of the divine traditions introduced in the first film.
