Rajinikanth’s Coolie Drops Viral Track “PowerHouse” Ahead of August Release

Sun Pictures has released the third single from the highly anticipated Tamil action thriller Coolie, titled “PowerHouse”, and it’s already making waves. Within hours of its release, the lyric video has garnered 3.6 million views, signaling massive fan engagement. The announcement came via a dynamic social media post featuring the caption: “Deva’s #PowerHouse storm begins! Lyric Video is out now!” The buzz surrounding this track confirms that Coolie is poised to dominate screens when it hits theaters worldwide on August 14, 2025, strategically aligning with India’s Independence Day for maximum impact.

 

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Coolie stars none other than Rajinikanth in a high-octane lead role. Adding to the excitement is a rare appearance by Aamir Khan, who returns to Tamil cinema after 30 years since Aatank Hi Aatank (1995). His cameo is expected to significantly boost the film’s pan-Indian and international appeal, creating a rare moment of synergy between Tamil and Hindi cinema’s biggest icons.
