YRF Confirms War 2 Trailer Release for July 25, Sets Stage for Epic Spy Showdown This August

Yash Raj Films has officially unveiled a new poster for War 2, setting off waves of excitement with the announcement that the trailer will drop on July 25, just weeks ahead of the film's theatrical release. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 marks the sixth chapter in the expanding YRF Spy Universe and is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The poster also commemorates a landmark moment—25 years of cinematic excellence from both Hrithik Roshan and N. T. Rama Rao Jr., who headline the film.

 

The newly released poster reads, "IN 2025, 2 ICONS OF INDIAN CINEMA COMPLETE 25 YEARS OF THEIR GLORIOUS CINEMATIC JOURNEY. TO CELEBRATE THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME MOMENT, YRF MARKS JULY 25 AS THE TRAILER LAUNCH DATE OF WAR 2!" It’s a fitting tribute to two superstars and teases a “clash of the titans” that fans have been eagerly waiting for. With War (2019) setting the bar for high-octane action and espionage, its sequel promises even bigger stakes, grander scale, and a deeper dive into the Spy Universe lore.

 

The film stars Hrithik Roshan returning as elite Indian agent Kabir, with N. T. Rama Rao Jr. joining the universe in a key role, and Kiara Advani as the female lead. The ensemble also features Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor, adding further star power to the project. Scripted by Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala from an original story by Aditya Chopra, War 2 continues YRF’s commitment to building a connected cinematic spy saga akin to Hollywood’s Marvel or Bond franchises.

 

With music by Pritam and a score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara, War 2 is positioned as both a box-office juggernaut and a visual spectacle.
