Salman Khan Recalls Emotional Bike Ride to Reconnect with Father Salim Khan

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, who was recently seen in Sikandar, opened up about a deeply personal memory during the Indian Supercross Racing League event in Mumbai. Reflecting on a moment from his youth, Salman shared a touching story about riding his bike to his family’s farm, believing that his father, legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, was upset with him. Salman felt compelled to make the journey to seek forgiveness—only to later discover that his assumption was unfounded.

 

The actor recounted, “I thought my father was upset with me one day and he went to the farm… I said, ‘I have to go to the farm and apologize.’” In his rush, Salman rode without a helmet, wearing a cap that eventually flew off. Realizing the importance of safety, he slowed down significantly. But even at a reduced speed, the ride was treacherous. His bike skidded twice—once veering off into a jungle—leaving him injured due to loose gravel on the road.

 

Upon reaching the farm, the conversation with his father took a surprising turn. Salim Khan, unaware of any misunderstanding, asked what Salman was doing there. “I said, ‘No, I just thought that you were upset with me,’” Salman explained. When Salim saw his injuries and learned of the two falls, he playfully asked, “You don’t know how to ride a bike?” before taking his own vintage Triumph Tiger 100 for a spin.

 

The moment ended on a heartfelt note, with father and son riding through the farm together under the night sky. “That was a really good experience I had,” Salman said, adding that while the injuries took time to heal, he was grateful there were no broken bones. The story not only highlighted the actor’s deep bond with his father but also served as a poignant reminder of youthful impulsiveness, parental understanding, and the enduring strength of family ties.
