Bajrangi Didn’t Just Entertain, It Healed”: Kabir Khan Celebrates 10 Years of Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Filmmaker Kabir Khan marked the 10-year anniversary of his iconic film Bajrangi Bhaijaan with a heartfelt social media post, calling it “Bajrangi Day.” Sharing a series of behind-the-scenes pictures, the director expressed gratitude for the love the film continues to receive across the world. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years… I meet people who tell me how this film makes them laugh and cry every time they see it. That to me is the real reward — knowing that Bajrangi didn’t just entertain, it healed,” wrote Kabir.

 

Released in 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan became a cultural phenomenon and one of the most beloved Hindi films of the decade. The film starred Salman Khan as Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, a devout Hanuman bhakt who takes it upon himself to reunite a lost, mute Pakistani girl, played by Harshaali Malhotra, with her family across the border. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui also played pivotal roles in this moving tale of compassion, faith, and cross-border humanity.

 

Co-written by V. Vijayendra Prasad and directed by Kabir Khan, the film was produced by Salman Khan, Rockline Venkatesh, and Kabir Khan himself. Not only was it a box office blockbuster, but it also struck a deep emotional chord with audiences in both India and abroad, transcending political boundaries to emphasize shared humanity. The film's universal message of love and hope remains its lasting legacy.

 

On the work front, Kabir Khan is gearing up for the release of his latest venture Rangeen, an original series set to premiere on Prime Video on July 25, 2025. Produced by Khan and Rajan Kapoor, and directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua, the series promises a fresh narrative from creators Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi. As Bajrangi Bhaijaan completes a decade, Kabir Khan continues to deliver stories rooted in emotion, humanism, and storytelling that resonates.
