Kapil Sharma’s Surrey Eatery Targeted in Shooting, Khalistani Terrorist Claims Responsibility

In a shocking turn of events, popular Indian comedian Kapil Sharma’s newly launched restaurant, Kap’s Café, in Surrey, British Columbia, came under gunfire earlier this week. The incident, which occurred on July 9, involved at least nine shots being fired at the café. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

 

Alarming videos circulating on social media show a man inside a vehicle firing a pistol at the café’s exterior in what appears to be a targeted attack. The situation escalated when Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi, a known Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative, reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. Laddi, originally from Nawanshahr, Punjab, is currently on the NIA’s most wanted list and has previously been charged in connection with the murder of VHP leader Vikas Prabhakar (aka Vikas Bagga) in Punjab.

 

Kap’s Café marks Kapil Sharma’s debut in the restaurant industry, with his wife Ginni Chatrath actively involved in the venture. The café has been a much-anticipated project for fans and locals alike, making the news of the shooting even more unsettling.

 

The incident has raised serious concerns about the security situation in parts of Canada, particularly with rising reports of cross-border extremism involving Indian fugitives.
