Sakthi Film Factory Acquires Tamil Nadu Theatrical Rights for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

It’s official: Sakthi Film Factory has stepped into the grand historical world of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, announcing its acquisition of the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for the long-awaited Telugu epic starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan. In a tweet brimming with excitement, the distributor confirmed its partnership with legendary producer A.M. Rathnam, calling it an “honor to be a part of this epic world.” The film is set to release on July 24, 2025, and marks a major entry in this year’s pan-Indian slate.

 

Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been in the making for several years, delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and Pawan Kalyan’s political responsibilities—he is currently serving as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Despite the roadblocks, anticipation around the film remains sky-high. It promises a stirring narrative of resistance, honor, and rebellion against the Mughal Empire, tapping into a rising audience appetite for historical action dramas rooted in Indian regional legacies—a trend noted in a 2023 Journal of Indian Cinema study.

 

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan’s personal commitment to the project has become a talking point in the industry. In June 2025, he returned ₹11 crore of his remuneration to help fast-track the film’s completion—an uncommon gesture in the star-driven ecosystem of Indian cinema. This move has only fueled the fandom, with early pre-sales in the U.S. reportedly crossing $30,000, signaling strong overseas interest and challenging traditional assumptions about actor pay and box office success.

 

With Satya Raj, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles, music by M.M. Keeravaani, and direction by Krish Jagarlamudi, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is shaping up to be both a spectacle and a statement. The Tamil Nadu release, now in the capable hands of Sakthi Film Factory, positions the film to capitalize on the state’s rapidly growing theatrical market, which saw a 15% surge in box office revenue in 2024.
