‘Sena Ki Jai’ from Tanvi The Great is a Stirring Ode to India’s Bravehearts

Veteran actor Anupam Kher, returning to the director’s chair after over two decades, has unveiled the first track from his upcoming film Tanvi The Great—and it’s nothing short of a patriotic anthem. Titled Sena Ki Jai, the song is a heartfelt salute to the courage and sacrifice of India’s armed forces. Composed by Oscar-winner MM Keeravani, penned by Kausar Munir, and sung soulfully by Shagun Sodhi, the track radiates pride, emotion, and deep reverence for the men and women in uniform.

 

Set against a dynamic army backdrop, Sena Ki Jai features debutante Shubhangi Dutt, who plays the titular role of Tanvi, dancing with soldiers to honor their bravery. What makes this moment even more powerful is that Tanvi, portrayed as a gifted child on the autism spectrum, expresses her gratitude not through words but through music and movement. Karan Tacker, who plays Tanvi’s father and an army officer, joins her in this emotionally rich sequence that blends celebration with poignant remembrance.

 

The song’s choreography and visuals are filled with vibrant energy and quiet strength—mirroring the inner world of Tanvi’s character. MM Keeravani’s composition weaves traditional patriotic motifs with emotional depth, capturing not just the might of the military, but the often-unseen emotional impact it has on families and future generations. It’s a rare tribute told through the lens of a child’s pure and unique perception—layered, nuanced, and deeply moving.

 

Tanvi The Great, produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 18, 2025. Featuring a powerhouse ensemble including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Pallavi Joshi, Boman Irani, and Iain Glen, the film marks a bold and heartfelt cinematic return for Kher. If Sena Ki Jai is any indication, the film promises to be a moving blend of patriotism, sensitivity, and unspoken strength—told through the eyes of a remarkable young girl.
