Mohanlal’s Daughter Vismaya Makes Her Acting Debut with Jude Anthany Joseph’s Thudakkam

A new chapter begins in the illustrious Mohanlal family, as veteran actor Mohanlal’s daughter, Vismaya, is all set to make her acting debut. The film, titled Thudakkam, is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the trusted banner of Aashirvad Cinemas — the production house closely associated with Mohanlal’s own cinematic journey.

 

Sharing the big news with fans, Mohanlal took to social media to unveil the first look poster of the film and penned a heartfelt message for his daughter. “Dear Mayakutty, may your Thudakkam be just the first step in a lifelong love affair with cinema,” he wrote, proudly blessing Vismaya as she embarks on this exciting journey into the world of movies.

 

Mohanlal and his wife Suchitra, who got married in 1988, are parents to two children — actor Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya. While Pranav followed in his father’s footsteps years ago, first appearing as a child actor in Onnaman (2002) and later making his leading man debut in the 2022 hit Hridayam, it is now Vismaya’s turn to step into the spotlight.

 

With Thudakkam, which translates to "beginning," Vismaya’s foray into acting carries with it both legacy and anticipation. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, known for his ability to balance emotion with strong storytelling, the film is expected to be a promising launchpad for the debutante.
