Instead, it’s a re-imagining — one that heightens the tension, violence, and raw fear of the original, while pushing the narrative into even darker, more relentless territory.
In Chapter 2, a young couple (Petsch and Froy Gutierrez) find themselves stranded in a remote and unsettling small town after their car breaks down. Forced to seek shelter in a desolate cabin, their night quickly devolves into a nerve-shredding nightmare as they're hunted by three masked assailants—merciless, unrelenting, and seemingly without motive. The screenplay is penned by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, based on a story by Bryan Bertino, who created the original.
