Varun Dhawan Shares BTS Video from Border 2 Sets with NDA Cadets

Actor Varun Dhawan, currently filming the third schedule of Border 2, gave fans a fun behind-the-scenes glimpse on Monday by sharing a video from the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. In the video, the actor is seen engaging in a spontaneous and spirited knuckle push-up challenge with young army cadets. He captioned it, "BORDER2 Hamare saare young cadets ke saath knuckle challenge. #bts"—a nod to the camaraderie he’s building off-screen while shooting this war epic.

 

In the clip, Varun is surrounded by enthusiastic cadets, all ready to take on the challenge with high energy and infectious morale. As they begin the knuckle push-ups on the ground, loud cheers break out from the group, and the friendly competition adds a refreshing and human touch to the film’s intense backdrop. After completing the challenge, Varun is seen applauding the cadets, sharing smiles, hugs, and a few heartfelt moments with the young men in uniform.

 

Border 2 is the long-awaited sequel to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 war classic Border, and aims to continue the legacy of showcasing courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. Alongside Varun Dhawan, the film features Sunny Deol returning to the franchise, joined by Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is a multi-starrer with high expectations, backed by producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.

 

The film is slated for release on January 23, 2026, just ahead of Republic Day, promising a power-packed tribute to India’s armed forces.
