Saregama Drops Soul-Stirring Track ‘Soona Soona’ from Upcoming Thriller Nikita Roy

Saregama has unveiled “Soona Soona,” an emotionally resonant track from the upcoming supernatural thriller Nikita Roy. The music label shared the release on social media with the poignant caption, “Some voids even time can’t fill,” perfectly capturing the song’s underlying mood of solitude and inner strength. Composed and written by Abhinav Shekhar, and sung by Saumya Upadhyay, the track explores the haunting silence left behind by grief, regret, and unresolved emotions.

 

The music video, which features lead actress Sonakshi Sinha, hints at the film’s eerie atmosphere while grounding the narrative in a deeply human emotional core. With Nigel Fernandes producing the music and Shekhar’s dual role as composer and lyricist, Soona Soona carries a haunting simplicity. Saumya Upadhyay’s voice adds an intimate texture, drawing listeners into the personal void of the character's world without ever over-dramatizing it.

 

Nikita Roy, slated for release on June 27, 2025, marks the directorial debut of Kussh S Sinha and stars Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role. She is joined by a powerful supporting cast including Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar. The film blends supernatural elements with psychological drama, positioning itself as a unique entry in this year’s cinematic landscape. It is produced under the NVBF Entertainment banner by Nicky Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani, and Kinjal Ghone, with Dinesh Gupta and Mehnaaz Shaikh also on board as producers.

 

With Soona Soona, the film’s promotional campaign takes a quieter, more emotional turn—offering a glimpse into the psychological layers of Nikita Roy beyond its suspenseful and supernatural overtones.
