Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik Gears Up With Second Song ‘Dil Thaam Ke’

Following the moody and intense first single Naamumkin, the makers of Maalik are turning up the heat with the teaser drop for their second track, Dil Thaam Ke. Set to release on June 20, 2025, the song features Huma Qureshi in a fiery dance number, promising glamour and grit in equal measure. The announcement, made via a social media post by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, has added to the growing buzz around this action-packed entertainer.

 

Rajkummar Rao, known for his versatile roles, takes on the part of a ruthless gangster in Maalik, marking a stark departure from many of his previous characters. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips Films and Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films, the film is set against a gritty North Indian backdrop, with shooting having wrapped in locations like Lucknow, Varanasi, and Unnao. The film's aesthetic already hints at a blend of old-school underworld drama with modern cinematic flair.

 

The song Dil Thaam Ke, apart from giving fans a glimpse of Huma Qureshi’s special appearance, also reinforces the film’s mass appeal strategy. Her cameo, reportedly shot in November 2024, has been kept under wraps until now, making this teaser drop a strategic moment in the film’s promotion. With catchy music expected to drive up interest, the makers are clearly timing their promotional rollout to maintain momentum as the release date nears.

 

Slated for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025, Maalik is shaping up to be a film that blends star power with strong storytelling.
