"When One Film Is Being Made, 100 Families Are Fed," Says Deepak Tijori at Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se Launch

Veteran actor and filmmaker Deepak Tijori delivered a powerful message about the true impact of cinema during the launch of the upcoming film Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se in Mumbai last night. While gracing the event as a guest and well-wisher, Tijori reminded the audience that the film industry isn’t just about lights, cameras, and stars — it’s about livelihoods.

“One film is being made, 100 households are being fed,” said Tijori, speaking passionately on the sidelines of the launch. “I am here to support and give best wishes to the entire team. All young kids are being launched, and I hope more such producers step forward in our industry. It’s my hope that this film becomes successful, and more films like this are made. Most of my friends are working in this film as actors, and I am looking forward to watching them.”

In a time when the entertainment industry is often viewed through the lens of box office numbers or star power, Tijori’s statement is a poignant reminder of the human engine behind every movie — the hundreds of artists, technicians, daily wage workers, and support staff whose lives are impacted with each production greenlit. From light boys to spot dadas, from costume designers to junior artists — cinema sustains an ecosystem of talent, often underappreciated but vital to the art of storytelling.

When asked about his involvement in Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se, Tijori clarified, “No, I am not acting in this movie, I am here as a friend. But in the future, I will make films with them.” His words signal not just solidarity, but a forward-looking vision — one that champions collaboration, community, and continuity.

Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se, a fun-filled romantic family drama, boasts an ensemble cast including Dharmendra, Arbaaz Khan, Vidya Malvade, Kangana Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Padmini Kolhapure, and Ranjeet, among others. Directed by Shabbir Shaikh, with dialogues and screenplay by Nisar Akhtar, the film kicked off its promotional journey by unveiling its first song, crooned by the legendary Udit Narayan.

Deepak Tijori was last seen in Tipppsy, a drama thriller he directed and acted in, the film also starred Kainaat Arora, Alankrita Sahai, Sonia Birje, Nazia Hussain, Natasha Suri, and more.
