9 Years of ‘Housefull 3’: T-Series Celebrates the Madcap Mayhem

Triple the confusion, triple the madness, and triple the fun—it’s been 9 years since Housefull 3 hit the big screens, and fans are still grooving to its chaotic charm. To mark the occasion, T-Series dropped a nostalgia-packed promo on social media, featuring the unforgettable dance number “Taang Uthake”, reigniting memories of one of Bollywood’s most outrageously entertaining comedies.

 

Released in 2016, Housefull 3 brought together an all-star cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, who played three wildly confused men trying to marry three sisters under bizarre restrictions imposed by their eccentric father (played by Boman Irani). Add to that the glamorous trio—Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon—and you had a recipe for box office madness.

 

The film, directed by Sajid-Farhad, was the third installment in the Housefull franchise, and it continued the series' tradition of over-the-top gags, mistaken identities, and slapstick gold. While critics had mixed reactions, audiences turned it into a commercial success, with its zany humor and high-energy songs becoming party staples.

 

With this anniversary celebration, Housefull 3 reminds us why it remains a fan-favorite in the comedy genre. Whether it’s the hilarious one-liners, dance-floor anthems, or the sheer absurdity of the plot, one thing’s certain—Housefull 3 still delivers the laughs, nine years on.

 

The next instalment of the franchise, Housefull 5, helmed by Tarun Mansukhani. Starring  Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer and Johnny Lever is slated for 6th June 2025.
