The creative minds behind two of Telugu cinema’s most emotionally resonant hits — Colour Photo (2020) and Baby (2023) — are back, and they’re gearing up to unveil what looks like their most ambitious project yet. According to the official announcement, the title and first glimpse of their new film, tentatively referred to as “Cult”, will be revealed this Monday, June 2 at 5:04 PM.

 

The announcement, made by Mass Movie Makers, Amrutha Productions, and lead creatives Sai Rajesh and Ravi Namburii, has already set social media abuzz, especially among fans who’ve come to expect grounded storytelling and emotional heft from the team.

 

This team is no stranger to critical and audience acclaim. Their 2020 breakout film, Colour Photo (IMDb 8.1), was a heart-wrenching period romance that explored themes of caste, class, and love in 1990s Andhra Pradesh.
