Anurag Kashyap Unveils Gripping Trailer for Stolen, Starring Abhishek Banerjee

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has unveiled the official trailer for Stolen, a gritty, emotionally charged thriller set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 4, 2025. Directed by Karan Tejpal, the film dives deep into the unsettling consequences of a baby’s kidnapping and the moral reckoning that follows.

 

Kashyap shared the trailer on social media with the caption: "One kidnapping. Three lives & a relentless quest to reclaim what’s rightfully theirs." He tagged the cast and crew, including Abhishek Banerjee, Mia Maelzer, and Shubham, while also crediting the creative team behind the film’s intense narrative.

 

Set against the backdrop of rural India, Stolen follows two urban brothers who witness a child being snatched from her destitute mother at a railway station. One of them, moved by a sense of duty and justice, convinces his reluctant sibling to aid the grieving mother in a dangerous pursuit to track down the child. As the trio delves deeper into the underbelly of the region’s criminal world, their quest becomes a haunting exploration of conscience, class divide, and the cost of action.

 

Written by Gaurav Dhingra, Swapnil Salkar, and Karan Tejpal, the film promises a visceral cinematic experience that blends suspense with social commentary. Abhishek Banerjee, known for his powerful performances in films like Paatal Lok and Bhediya, leads the cast, delivering what early reactions suggest is another standout role.
