Suriya 46 Officially Launched with Grand Pooja Ceremony in Hyderabad

Tamil superstar Suriya's highly anticipated next project, Suriya 46, has officially commenced with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. The film marks the first collaboration between Suriya and director Venky Atluri, promising a fresh and exciting cinematic experience. Produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios, the film's launch was attended by several industry notables, including filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas, who gave the first clap to mark the beginning of the shoot.

 

The production house took to their official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share images and updates from the launch, generating considerable buzz online. “The most anticipated #Suriya46 has been officially launched with a grand pooja ceremony! @Suriya_offl x #VenkyAtluri unite to create magic on screen!” the post read. The shoot is scheduled to begin at the end of May, with the film eyeing a Summer 2026 theatrical release.

 

Suriya 46 will feature music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, reuniting the actor-composer duo known for their successful collaborations in the past. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, while veteran actresses Raveena Tandon and Radhika Sarathkumar join the ensemble in significant roles. The film also boasts a strong technical team, including cinematographer Nimish Ravi and editor Navin Nooli.

 

With Suriya's star power and Venky Atluri’s directorial vision, expectations are sky-high for Suriya 46. The project is being positioned as a major summer release in 2026, with fans eager to see what this new team brings to the screen.
