Raj Babbar Pays Tribute to Manoj Kumar: A Noble Legend of Indian Cinema

The film industry and the nation mourn the loss of one of its true gems, Manoj Kumar, whose legacy continues to inspire. As the actor was given a state farewell, Raj Babbar, actor and politician, expressed deep sorrow over his passing, calling him a "noble" soul. Speaking to the media at Pawan Hans, Babbar reflected on the significant impact Manoj Kumar had on Indian cinema. “He worked towards solidifying the dignity of India,” Babbar said. “Through his roles, he paid tribute to our freedom fighters and showcased patriotism like no other. A director, writer, and actor, Manoj Kumar earned the love and respect of people across the nation.”

 

Manoj Kumar, who became a beloved figure for his portrayal of patriotic characters, not only contributed to the film industry but also became a symbol of pride for the country. The final rites of Manoj Kumar were held with great reverence at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. His mortal remains were brought from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and placed at his residence, where family members and close friends gathered to pay their respects. The ambulance carrying his remains was draped with tri-color flowers, a poignant reminder of his deep connection to the spirit of India. A guard of honor was also presented as a mark of respect for the iconic actor, underscoring the significance of his contributions both to cinema and to the nation.

 

The funeral was attended by a host of film industry stalwarts, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salim Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arbaaz Khan, Prem Chopra, and many others, all of whom had worked with him or were personally touched by his legacy. Manoj Kumar’s death leaves a void in the film world, but his influence on Indian cinema and patriotism will forever remain etched in the hearts of millions.
