Ananya Panday Joins Kesari Chapter 2 as Lawyer Dilreet Gill in First Look Poster

The makers of Kesari Chapter 2 have unveiled the highly anticipated first look of Ananya Panday in her role as Dilreet Gill, a lawyer, and fans are already buzzing with excitement! Dharma Productions shared the character poster on social media, introducing Ananya’s compassionate yet strong character. The caption read, “Embraced by compassion, fueled by justice. Introducing Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill in Kesari - Chapter 2. In cinemas worldwide, 18th April.”

 

In the poster, Ananya exudes confidence in her lawyer role, and the accompanying video showcases her powerful voiceover. She boldly declares, “Uss din Jallianwala Bagh me jo hua uska sach puri duniya ko pata chalna chahiye”("What happened that day at Jallianwala Bagh, the truth must be told to everybody"). Her character’s determination to seek justice over the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre promises to add a gripping and emotional layer to the storyline.

 

Kesari Chapter 2 will delve into the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, exploring the horrors of that fateful day in 1919. The first installment of the franchise, released in 2019, focused on the heroic Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers held off 10,000 Pashtun tribesmen. The first part featured a stellar performance by Parineeti Chopra, who played a pivotal role.

 

In the upcoming chapter, Akshay Kumar returns to the lead role, playing the legendary advocate C. Sankaran Nair.
