Chatterjee began by talking about the complexity of his role, saying, "For the last 14-15 years, I’ve been trying to do something different. I don’t know if I’m doing it right or wrong. When Neeraj sir called me, I didn’t initially know what the character would be. I have done roles as a politician before but I haven't done a role like this. This was a challenge for me."
Chatterjee emphasized the importance of preparation for such a complex role, adding, "In terms of preparation, the director sat with me, and I tried to understand his vision and I tried to portray that on the screen. ."
Having grown up observing politicians closely, Chatterjee shared how his understanding of such characters evolved over time. "I’ve seen a lot of politicians growing up, but I had no particular politician in my mind while performing. . The brief given to me was clear, and I tried to approach it with that in mind. I did my best to reach as close as possible to what was required," he said.
The actor also mentioned the pressure that came with the massive success of the Bihar Chapter, noting that the team felt a lot of responsibility. "The Bihar Chapter was a huge hit, so there was a certain pressure on our team. But we all worked really hard, and now, we are relying on your trust," he said.
The series featuring Jeet Madnani, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee is directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray. Showrunner Neeraj Pandey has co-written the script along with Debatma Mandal and Samrat Chakraborty.
