Kareena Kapoor Khan Requests Privacy After Saif Ali Khan’s Shocking Attack

Following the traumatic attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram on Thursday night to share a heartfelt message with her fans and the media. The actress, visibly shaken by the events that unfolded, requested privacy for her family during this difficult time, citing the overwhelming nature of constant media scrutiny.

 

Kareena wrote, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.” She went on to express gratitude for the concern shown but emphasized that the ongoing attention was proving to be a significant risk to the family’s safety. “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety,” she added.

 

The actress concluded by asking for respect and understanding, saying, “I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”

 

The incident that led to this emotional plea occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Saif’s Bandra residence. Around 2:30 am, an intruder allegedly confronted the actor’s maid, and when Saif tried to intervene, the situation escalated into violence. The actor sustained several stab wounds, one of which lodged a knife in his spine, causing significant damage to his thoracic spinal cord. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the 2.5-inch knife from his spine and repair a leaking spinal fluid.

 

While Saif’s condition is stable and he is said to be "out of danger," doctors are closely monitoring his recovery. Despite the gravity of the situation, the relentless media attention surrounding the incident has prompted Kareena’s plea for privacy. As the family grapples with this traumatic event, fans and well-wishers have expressed their support, hoping for Saif’s full recovery and respecting the need for space during this challenging time.
