European weather satellite imagery has shown the moment the French island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean took a direct hit from Cyclone Chido.
The imagery from European operational satellite agency, EUMETSAT, displayed the path of the cyclone between December 13-15 as it headed towards the small and densely populated island.
