Zoya Akhtar along with Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti graced the inauguration of PVR Lido Cinema launch in Juhu, yesterday.
To mark the launch, PVR INOX Lido announced a week-long retrospective film festival from June 7, 2024, celebrating 15 years of Zoya Akhtar’s filmmaking journey. The festival will showcase various movies from her diverse filmography produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby.
While interacting with media, Zoya said, “Not just 15 years of being a filmmaker, but today is also nine years of Dil Dhadakne Do, this is the best birthday gift ever, playing our films back on the screen.”
“It really takes something to develop a space, and to be able to play films that have happened, to put festival films out, and to keep the culture of cinema going, we are the capital of film industry. And to enable this sort of space and place where youth can watch films which happened before their time, it is a real gift, so I want to thank the team for making it happen” added Zoya.
