Didn’t Watch The Complete ‘Sarfarosh’ For All These Years Says Sonali Bendre

Actress Sonali Bendre makes an honest confession during the 25th Anniversary of Sarfarosh, saying she didn’t watch the complete film until a couple of days ago. 

 

Sonali Bendre was present at the special premiere of Sarfarosh on its 25th anniversary, along with Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Naseeruddin Shah. The special screening was held at PVR Juhu in Mumbai on Friday. 

 

During the media interaction, Sonali Bendre gleefully admitted that she never watched the complete film for these years. 

 

Talking about film clocking 25 years, Sonali said, “It doesn’t feel like 25 years, it feels like the movie just released 5 years, I am telling you, we weren’t expecting much from the film, though we knew it is a different kind of film, we didn’t think this movie will become such a huge cult movie.” 

 

“I have a confession to make, for all these years, I haven’t seen the full movie ever, now the film has clocked 25 years, and just a day or two back, I saw the complete film. And I felt this movie says the same thing which it said 25 years ago, it is so relevant, and it is so today. So, it is lovely” added Sonali. 

 

Sonali Bendre arrived at the event in a red dress. She played the role of Aamir's love interest in Sarfarosh. The film, directed by John Mathew Mathan, has been a fan favourite for decades.

 

On the work front, Sonali Bendre will soon be seen in Broken News Season 2, also starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar.
