The Sympathizer Trailer Is Out

The official trailer for "The Sympathizer" series has finally been released, and it looks absolutely captivating! This espionage thriller, based on the award-winning novel by Viet Thanh Nguyen, is developed by Don McKellar and directed by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook. The series, a collaboration between A24 and HBO Max, promises to be a smart, sly, and sneaky exploration of espionage, with dark humor and clever commentary on America.

 

Set near the end of the Vietnam War, the series follows the story of "The Captain," a spy embedded in the South Vietnam army who flees to the United States and settles in a refugee community.
