(13 Mar 2024) The head of the U.N. atomic agency visited Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power on Wednesday and examined its ongoing discharge of the treated radioactive wastewater into the sea. International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Rafael Grossi told local Japanese representatives at a meeting in Fukushima on Wednesday that the ongoing discharge of treated radioactive wastewater at the ruined nuclear power plant has met safety standards.
