(13 Mar 2024) Student demonstrators broke into the state prosecutors' offices in Chilpancingo, Guerrero state in Mexico on Tuesday, Mar. 12, set off explosives and burned 11 police patrol vehicles. They were protesting the death of a student last week in what police said was a confrontation with students riding in a stolen car. Mexico's president described the shooting as an abuse of authority and confirmed the dead student had not fired any gun. (March 13, 2024)
