Written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and backed by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film is a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and is the second instalment in the YRF Spy Universe.
The film set numerous box-office records during its theatrical run, grossing over 570 crore worldwide, becoming the 14th highest-grossing Indian film. It also set the record for highest opening weekend for a Hindi-language film, with 114 crore and bagged the 63rd Filmfare Awards, the film won for Best Action.

The film also starred Sajjad Delafrooz, Angad Bedi, Kumud Mishra, Girish Karnad and Paresh Rawal.
On the work front, Ali is busy wrapping Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Ali Abbas Zafar, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Sarwar Mohammed. It stars Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and others.
The film is slated for 10th April 2024 release.
