The film marks the comeback of Karan Singh, who was last seen in Hate Story 3, back in 2015.
Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film features Hrithik as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty, Deepika as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore aka Minni, and Anil as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh aka Rocky fighting for the country.
'Fighter' makes Deepika's first on-screen collaboration with Hrithik Roshan. The film also serves as the first film in a planned aerial action franchise.
Fighter was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on 30 September 2022 but was delayed due to the production delays owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is scheduled to release theatrically on 25 January 2024, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend.
