A video is going viral on social media, where Punjabi-Canadian singer and rapper Shubhneet Singh, popularly known as Shubh, is seen flashing a hoodie with illustrations mocking and celebrating former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination at his recent concert in London.
Actress Kangana Ranaut took to her social media profile and wrote, “Celebrating the cowardly killing of an old woman by those who she appointed as her saviours. When you are trusted to protect but you take advantage of the trust and faith and use the same weapons to kill the ones were supposed to protect then it’s a shameful act of cowardice not of bravery.”
“One must be ashamed of such a cowardly attack on an elderly lady who was disarmed and unaware, a lady who was the chosen leader of a democracy, nothing to glorify here Shubham ji. Shame!!!” added Kangana.
Singer’s move was followed by severe backlash, and even his concert, which was supposed to be held in Mumbai from September 23-25 was cancelled.
Meanwhile, Kangana was last seen in Tejas, which did poorly at the box-office, she will next be seen in Emergency, which marks her first solo directorial.
