Amidst Houseful Shows, Mission Raniganj Takes A Leap To Oscars

Pooja Entertainment’s irresistibly vivid and inventive big screen spectacle - India’s first Coal mine Rescue Film -Mission Raniganj, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, is ruling the hearts of millions. Despite being well within its 2nd week of its release, the rage and popularity for the film hasn’t quite dialled down. 

 

With the slashed down ticket prices on National Cinema Day yesterday the Akshay Kumar starrer movie had a houseful sign across the nation. The movie goers just cannot get enough of the film. It's a must watch film for every individual to see the story of this unsung hero Jaswant Singh Gill.

 

The achievement of Mission Raniganj is also expanding the National boundaries, as the makers of the film have now decided to independently submit the film to the Oscars Academy. The film will not just be eligible for the Best Foreign Film award, it will be eligible to compete in every other major category, and its chances of winning are quite high, given the fact it is based on an extraordinary story and backed by pioneers in production.  

 

Mission Raniganj is a celebration of Indian cinema and unsung hero, Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill, on whom the film is based.
