I Try And Address Social Issues With My Work Says Sanjay Mishra

Actor Sanjay Mishra, who is known for his commercial and social driven dramas, says as an artist it’s his duty to address social issues, which he is trying to do with his work. 

 

Sanjay Mishra along with Guthlee Ladoo team was interacting with media to promote the film, which addresses the issue of casteism and education in 2023. 

 

Talking about tackling tricky social issues with his movies, Sanjay Mishra said, “It is the responsibility of an artist, to address the things which are not up-to the mark in society. I did a movie titled Kadavi Hawa, which talked about climate change, it is crucial to make audience aware about such burning issues. I did a film titled Turtle, which addressed the issue of water scarcity, so it is important and crucial to address such issues, and I am trying to do with my work.”  

 

Talking about his next release, “Guthlee, which is basically is a seed and if we plant it and look after it, one day it will grow into a tree. In the movie, Dhanay Sheth plays the role of Guthlee, he is from lower caste, where if he touches someone’s feet, he gets a beating, but no one has an issue taking money from him. So, this film represents such society. It is so unfortunate that in 2023, we are dealing with such issues. Everyone has a right, especially the education,” said Sanjay. 

 

Guthlee Ladoo is directed by Ishrat R Khan, produced by Pradeep Rangwani, also stars Dhanay Sheth, Subrat Dutta, Kalyanee Mulay, Heet Sharma and more.

 

Talking about his widespread popularity and uncanny character-based performances, Sanjay said, “Acting is my job, I like every kind of work, I like presenting every kind of work. I think, its audience’s love and their understanding toward cinema has increased, I keep on doing different characters. It feels good that audience recognize you as a good artist, which has been my desire, so it feels good.” 

 

Guthlee Ladoo is slated for 13th October 2023 release.
