The Vaccine War tells the true story of the development of the Covaxin during the COVID-19 pandemic in India, which was next to impossible task for Indian scientist due to lack of financial resources, lack of infra, information and political pressure.
The film features Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, Girija Oak, Nivedita Bhattacharya, Sapthami Gowda, and Mohan Kapur.
The trailer opens with Nana Patekar as the head of scientists, who take on their remarkable journey to create India's first vaccine against Covid-19. From budget constraints to negative narratives in the media, these scientists face it all. The trailer also spoke about the number of female scientists working on the vaccine.
The Vaccine War is marketed as India's first bio-science film. The movie honours the commitment of the scientific community and medical community during the tumultuous COVID-19 pandemic.
The film is scheduled to be theatrically released on 28 September 2023.
