(7 Sep 2023) The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Wednesday that its fighters captured Diban, the main Arab tribesmen's stronghold in Deir al Zour. Gunmen who earlier took positions in the village fled to areas under the control of the (Syrian) regime where they had earlier come from, the SDF said.
