Inaamulhaq was interacting with Newshelpline on the sidelines of a film event in Mumbai.
Pathaan, Gadar 2, The Kashmir Files, OMG-2 and more movies has managed to pull out struggling cinema hall owners from a dark phase. The sheer footfall in theaters have increased tremendously with each release.
When asked about recent releases has changed the condition of cinema halls, Inaamulhaq said, “I don’t want to talk about particular film, but I hope people keep on making good movies and audience keeps on watching good cinema, it is a good thing that people are coming back to cinema halls.”
“There was this huge debate that because of OTT, the cinema halls are getting empty, now you all can see that a huge number of people are coming back to cinema halls, hopefully a lot of good movies are being made, so even more people would come to the theaters” added Inaamulhaq.
Inaamulhaq also quash rumors about war drama Pippa opting for OTT release. The Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur starrer Pippa is directed by Raja Krishna Menon.
Talking about his upcoming release, Inaamulhaq said, “My upcoming movie is Pippa, which will release in cinema halls very soon.”
