There Is A Shift In Gujarati Cinema Says Siddharth Randeria

Veteran actor Siddharth Randeria says that there is shift in Gujarati Cinema, now movies are based on urban and diverse subjects, during the trailer launch of Hu Ane Tu. 

 

Siddharth Randeria along with Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat and cast and crew of Hu Ane Tu, was interacting with Newshelpline during the trailer launch in Mumbai. 

 

Hu Ane Tu is a family drama helmed by Manan Sagar, written by Vinod Sarvaiya, also starring Sonalee Lele Desai, Puja Joshi, Parikshit Tamaliya and more. 

 

Talking about changing landscape of storytelling in Gujarati cinema Siddharth said, “Some 12 years ago, there was an era, when films connected to Gujarati culture and rooted in its land, were made. There was era of it, but since last decade or so, that has changed, there is big shift, we are touching urban and diverse subjects.” 

 

Further adding, Siddharth also confirmed the deeds of Kumar Mangat’s next project, which stars Ajay Devng, Madhavan and Janki Bodiwala, a remake of Gujarati film, Vash. 

 

He said, “One more information that I give, since we are talking about Gujarati films, there was film called Vash, which was made in Gujarati and Kumar ji has just turned 2-3 days back from finishing the film in Hindi. They shot the film in London, they shot for a month there, Ajay Devgn is in the lead role along with Madhavan. The female lead of the Gujarati film will play the leading lady in Hindi as well, Janki Bodiwala. So now, Kumar Mangat is going full throttle in Gujarati and Gujarati to Hindi as well.” 

 

Hu Ane Tu is slated for 30th August 2023 release.
