Anil Sharma along with Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Simrat Kaur, Utkarsh Sharma and more were interacting with Newshelpline during the trailer launch in Mumbai.
We asked Anil Sharma about the long gap between the two films, and he said, “Time might change, but the heart remains the same, emotion remains the same, outfit might change over time, the way we shoot the film, the technology might change. The Gadar -1 was the story of Tara, Sakeen and Jeete, and we had to take that story forward, the story of this family.”
“It took me 22 years to find the right story, and I knew the emotion of the story will connect with the audience, time gap doesn’t make much of difference, Mughal-E-Azam is still a masterpiece, we recently released Gadar-1 and it get a massive response, so it will connect with audience, I am sure of it” added Anil.
In the first part, Tara Singh (Sunny) travels to Lahore to get his wife Sakeena (Ameesha) back from her father. In the second part, Tara is back in Lahore for his son, Charanjeet (Utkarsh).
Gadar 2 is scheduled to be released on 11 August 2023, and it will clash with Akshay Kumar starrer OMG-2 at the box-office.
