Sharman Joshi along with Mona Singh, Vivan Bhathena, Preeti Jhangiani, Mikail Gandhi and more was interacting with Newshelpline to mark the success of Kafas.
Talking about the response and review of the series, Sharman said, “With reviewers, we have gotten the highest of 4.5 stars, but the public response is 5.1 type, that is all I can say about that. Friends and family have been sending such lovely messages, and the response has been tremendous.”
Helmed by Sahil Sangha, the show is currently streaming on the OTT platform Sony Liv.
Talking about the show and its out of the box-office promotional campaign, Sharman added, :The entire campaign was built around the teaser, and the tagline, Chup Rahne Ke Paise Liye Hain (Took Money To Keep Our Mouth Shut), has meaning. In the show, Mona Singh, and I as parents, took money to keep our mouth shut, as our child is sexually molested. A superstar molests our child, and we took money to keep our mouth shut. Once we accept the money, and the repercussions of it, within the family. That is what the show Kafas is all about.”
The team kick-started the campaign for the show by posting home-made videos where they talk about taking money and keeping their mouth shut.
