A senior police official said that the victim lodged a complaint in this respect, based on which an FIR was lodged.
The victim told the police that she was a widow and lives in the area along with her four children. She said that around two years ago, she met accused Praveen Kumar and they became friends and started meeting frequently. She alleged that the accused entered into physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage.
"After sometimes, when the complainant asked him to marry her, the accused blocked her number and threatened her of dire consequences. On the statement of the complainant, we lodged an FIR and arrested the accused," the official said.
