Tilotama Shome was interacting with Newshelpline to promote the second season of The Night Manager series, also starring Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role.
Talking about working with Anil Kapoor on the series, Tilotama Shome said, “It was a wonderful experience; I was calm, and he was bubbly. It was wonderful to work with him, he has been working for decades, and you don’t see any tiredness in him. And I was curious to find out why he is the way he is, even after so many years.”
“And perhaps it is because, despite doing so much work, he is curious about younger generation, he would often enquire about our process, family, and our journey so far, he was curious about all that, and I think his youthfulness is not just his looks, it is also his mind, as he is very curious about people and that is what that keeps him young” said Tilotama Shome.
Directed by Priyanka Ghose, Rukh Nabeel, and Sandeep Modi and produced by Amrita Sen and Preity Zinta, The Night Manager is an espionage crime thriller show.
Sharing a little sneak-peek into her character Lipika’s story in second part, Shome said, “In part 2, you will see Lipika doing action sequences, there is face off with Anil Kapoor’s character, she is pregnant, she is being questioned by his senior, she is also questioning his team and superiors’ intention, so that is a lot happening with my character in the second season.”
The series boasts of an ensemble cast of Sobhita Dhulipala, Ravi Behl, Rukhsar Rehman, Saswata Chatterjee, Varun Shashi Rao, Bagavathi Perumal, Jagdish Rajpurohit, and Salim Siddiqui.
The Night Manager part 2 is to release on June 30, 2023.
