Set during the Crush India Movement in Pakistan which took place in 1971, Tara Singh aka Sunny Deol, reaches Lahore to get his son back and this time around he bigger, better, more lethal and packs a bigger punch.
Helmed by Anil Sharma, and written by Shaktimaan Talwar, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Tara Singh returns to Pakistan to bring back his son Charanjeet.

The film also stars Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, Manish Wadhwa, Mir Sarwar, Rohit Choudhary, Gaurav Chopra, Rumi Khan, Arjun Dwivedi and more.
The romantic-action-drama original was set during the Partition of India, and created history at the box office when it was released in 2001. It revolves around Tara Singh (portrayed by Sunny), a Sikh truck driver from Amritsar, who falls in love with Sakina (portrayed by Ameesha), a Muslim girl hailing from a political family in Lahore, Pakistan.
Gadar 2 is slated for 11th August 2023 release, clashing with Animal and OMG 2.
