On 8th June, Konidela and Tripathi families released a picture invitation on social media, announcing the engagement ceremony. The ceremony took place last night in the presence of the entire Konidela clan.
Chiranjeevi Konidela took to his social media and shared the picture of the ceremony and wrote, “Hearty Congratulations and Blessings to @IAmVarunTej & @Itslavanya on your engagement! You will make a wonderful couple!! May you both be showered by all the love and happiness and have a blissful life ahead!”
Ram Charan also shared a picture with the newly engaged couple and wrote, “Varun & Lavanya, love you guys. Heartiest congratulations. @varunkonidela7 @itsmelavanya”
Varun Tej and actress Lavanya Tripati also shared the happy news on their social media profiles.

Varun Tej is the son of Telugu actor and producer Nagendra Babu. He is a nephew of actors Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. His younger sister Niharika is also an actress. Actors Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Sai Tej and Panja Vaisshnav Tej are his cousins.
On the work front, Varun Tej is currently busy with Gandeevadhari Arjuna and his Bollywood debut film, directed by Praveen Sattaru and Shakti Pratap Singh, respectively.
