Veteran actor Sulochana Latkar, known for her work in Hindi and Marathi films, passed away at the age of 94 on Sunday in Mumbai. Her mortal remains were brought to her residence.
The ‘Antim Darshan’ is being held at her Prabhadevi residence in the city. Her cremation will be held on Monday at 5:30 pm at Shivaji Park crematorium.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid tribute to late actor Sulochana Latkar at her residence in Mumbai. Politician Raj Thackeray and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, also paid tribute to the late actress.
Veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar and many others also showed up at the residence to show their respect.
Veteran actor Sulochana, who featured in more than 250 Hindi and 50 Marathi films, passed away due to age related issues. She was 94.
Sulochana began her career with Marathi films in the early 1940s and soon moved to Hindi films, where she essayed several mother roles in movies like Shammi Kapoor’s Dil Dekhe Dekho, Dilip Kumar’s Aadmi and Dev Anand’s Johnny Mera Naam among others.
